This 1906 Victorian Row house was severely damaged by a kitchen fire. All the original plaster and interior woodwork, flooring, fixtures, cabinets, appliances, electrical, and mechanical systems had to be replaced.
We worked closely with the Home Owners, there Insurance Adjuster, and the DC Historic Preservation Office to restore this home and keep the original unique architectural.
Structural changes were made to create a more modern custom kitchen with a breakfast nook. The second floor rear bedroom was open up to the rear sleeping porch to create a larger bedroom. Bathrooms were completely remodeled. A master bathroom was added and a new powder room on the main level. We also replaced all woodwork with stain grade wood trim, transoms and doors.
